About Us

As of September 2025, Resettlement CIC is honoured to take on the stewardship of Reading City of Sanctuary from our friends at (Reading) Refugee Support Group (RSG). For many years, RSG has not only funded the programme but also nurtured its growth, building momentum across our town and fostering partnerships that have made Reading a proud City of Sanctuary.

​Thanks to their dedication, Reading now counts several awarded Sanctuary institutions among its partners including The Museum of English Rural Life (MERL), Reading Museum, University of Reading, Greyfriars Church, Reading School, Hempen Farm, Rising Sun Arts Centre, and Rank and File Theatre. Each has played a vital role in weaving sanctuary into the fabric of our community.

Resettlement CIC is committed to building on the strong foundations laid by RRSG. Our ambition is to engage with even more local institutions, service providers, and community groups, ensuring that Reading continues to be a beacon of sanctuary. Whether you are a teacher, a librarian, or someone who simply wishes to volunteer, there is a role for you in helping Reading remain a welcoming town for all.
